S1:E6 – BISCUITS, BLOWIES, FUCK BUDDIES AND MANIPULATION: CARLA AND DELIA REVIEW – THE POWER OF THE PUSSY

And a 5, 6, 7, 8… jazz hands your hosts Carla and Delia stop just short of full blown choreo and talk about Fosse and Verdon and their dysfunctional, fucked up relationship but how they still loved each other. Carla confesses she picked this week’s book based on the title and Delia shares a dating story coining the phrase, “fireplaced”. Which turns into a cautionary tale akin to stranger danger. The ladies shuffle-ball-change into this week’s book, “The Power of The Pussy: Get What You Want From Men: Love, Respect, Commitment and More!” by Kara King.

Carla and Delia share this week’s foibles in online dating. Carla decides she enjoys getting words in edgewise and doesn’t know how long she can exercise patience when breaking down walls. Both women agree, no settling, no compromise. And on that note the gals explore the notion of realizing what they have between their legs and all the fun gifts and prizes they could get! (oh and love, emotional connection, partnership, etc.) But Delia is angling for a pontoon boat. Carla calls bullshit on women not wanting sex as much as men and Delia questions the logistics of dating everyone. Yes… EVERYONE.

Carla and Delia pour through the gaggle of rules posited by the author: Men don’t fall in love with sluts. Wait at least two months before sleeping together. If you need your needs met, get a fuck buddy and absolutely under no circumstances, EVER give a blow job. The ladies decide weaponizing the vagina is not the way to go and assures listeners they are using their powers for good and not evil. Carla divulges the line she had to “Peace Out!” on and the exercises that were a little helpful in clarifying what you want in a man and what you want out of a man.

Carla shares a story of her friend who’s fuck buddy turned into her husband of sixteen years. And Delia wistfully confesses that that is indeed her fairytale. No prince charming required.
