S1:E3 – RADIO SILENCE ALWAYS WORKS: CARLA AND DELIA REVIEW – IGNORE THE GUY, GET THE GUY
In this episode, your hosts Carla and Delia discuss the week in review: Mother’s Day, taking a 14 incher (pizza you guys), and if there still is such a thing as the MTV Spring Break House or MTV in general. After sharpening their double entendre game, the ladies hop to the discussion at hand, this week’s book, “Ignore the Guy, Get The Guy A Woman’s Survival Guide To: Mastering a Break-Up and Taking Back Her Power” by Leslie Braswell.
Finding credentials on the author was a touch difficult but the girls examine the key reason the no contact rule works, answer the question, “Can we be friends?”, and what you can infer about a guy by how he breaks up with you. Spoiler alert, the emoji route isn’t the way to go… unless you know, taco emoji.
Both of the ladies get real about past experiences on the emotional roller coaster, with extra special pit stop in depression. The author asks the question, “Is there a chance there is something better?” A better guy for you as each breakup teaches you something new. This leads the ladies to ask, “Do we really want the guy back?”
A Kim Basinger quote enlightens the ladies on trusting their intuition and the difference between the way men and women view intuition, logic and trusting their gut. Carla and Delia get raw and real about shame, humiliation and embarrassment that not trusting intuition led them to. Sometimes ignoring the guy, full stop is the best way to move forward.
