S1:E8 – GRACE, TACT, CONFORMITY, VAGINA LICKING AND CRAFTING THE ULTIMATE CRITICISM SANDWICH: CARLA AND DELIA REVIEW – MAKE HIM BEG FOR YOUR ATTENTION

After a brief hiatus your hosts Carla and Delia discuss the weeks away from the microphone: Delia took a family vacation to the Middle West (Dubuque Iowa in specific) and learned about gnats, weather and what happens when you turn off your deal-breaker button on the Hinge App. (a full on stampede of early 20 somethings). Carla recounts the awe-inspiring beauty of her friend’s wedding celebration, declaring a turning point which has filled her with optimism and excitement for the possibilities that lie ahead. Then diving head first into this week’s book, “Make Him Beg For Your Attention: 75 Communication Secrets for Captivating Men to Get the Love and Commitment You Deserve” by Bruce Bryans. As the girls discover, Bruce Bryans has a treasure trove of books for both men and women, unlike some authors who gear books primarily toward women. However he takes mansplaining to a new level, telling his readers/listeners to treat their man like a caveman. In step one (of 75 steps), Bruce shares his recipe for a criticism sandwich. An essential dish if you want your man to listen to you. Also you’re gonna want those spreadable condiments grace and tact to achieve full flavor. The ladies discuss some of the other steps: the importance of avoiding hostel facial expressions, men and their need to be respected and admired, being able to tiptoe around volatility. Delia begs the question, what about the exceptions? Carla answers back with the online reviews of the book. During our meaningful conversation Carla’s cat Clark goes banana sandwich. Closing thoughts, Carla would not recommend and Delia will skip picking up the book. Just like she’ll be skipping eggplant and tapioca.
